Combat Power — Combat Power lives on the same axis as LP: every tier, division and LP point is flattened into one continuous ladder (Iron IV = 0, Challenger tops out past 4,000). Your rank is the starting point, and the model adds a residual built from carry, macro, laning, stability and impact. That residual is the interesting part — it is an MMR estimate. A positive gap means you play above your rank and have room to climb; a negative one means the ladder flattered you.

Synergy — Synergy is not a second power score — it is the opposite question. Individual skill is subtracted, not added, so two Challengers who keep losing together score badly and two average players who keep winning together score well. Three signals feed it: the win rate you post together, whether both of your per-game performances rise when you queue as a pair, and how the champions you actually pick together perform league-wide. Lane pairings that barely interact (top and ADC) are discounted; a bot duo is not. The weights are refit from real collected pairs on every batch.
